Linda started with photography in the early 60's. She had only taken one class for it yet people loved her photographs. Linda later started taking photographs of icons such as Aretha Franklin, Grace Slick, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Eric Clapton, Simon & Garfunkel, The Who, The Doors, The Animals, The Beatles, Neil Young and much more. Linda McCartney was the first woman to ever have a photograph featured on the front cover of a magazine.
Linda died on April 17, 1998 in Tucson, Arizona from breast cancer. We miss her, she may be gone but her photographs will live forever. -Desi

On this day, April 17, 1998, Linda McCartney passed away due to cancer. She will always be remembered as an incredibly talented photographer, a passionate vegetarian and animal rights activist and an extraordinary mother and wife. This is one of her very last self-portraits taken months before her death. RIP Linda, we love you.
