Linda Louise McCartney (formerly Linda Louise Eastman) was born on September 24, 1941 in New York City. Linda was best known for her photography, for being an animal rights activist, and for her marriage with Paul McCartney, which after The Beatles formed a band named 'Wings' in which Linda joined.
Linda started with photography in the early 60's. She had only taken one class for it yet people loved her photographs. Linda later started taking photographs of icons such as Aretha Franklin, Grace Slick, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Eric Clapton, Simon & Garfunkel, The Who, The Doors, The Animals, The Beatles, Neil Young and much more. Linda McCartney was the first woman to ever have a photograph featured on the front cover of a magazine.
Linda died on April 17, 1998 in Tucson, Arizona from breast cancer. We miss her, she may be gone but her photographs will live forever. -Desi
Happy Birthday, lovely Linda…with the lovely flowers in her hair ♡
↳ Today we celebrate Linda’s 72nd birthday. And although she physically isn’t here anymore she will always live on through her photography, her music, and her beautiful soul. Linda is majorly known for being the wife of a Beatle but to me she is MUCH more than that. She is an inspiration, a role model. She taught me about love, kindness, peace, and she taught me how to look at the world in a positive way. Like Linda, I practice photography and vegetarianism and I’ve learned so many things about that from her. My point is, I admire this woman to an extent level. I believe that Paul was a lucky man to have had a woman like her!…and I know he knows it (: Happy Birthday Linda McCartney, I love you and I miss you forever. -Desi
